THEATRE HAS CLASS
The Umberto Giordano Theatre belongs to the city, especially to the young people.
That’s why the Municipality of Foggia is dedicating a week to each local school applying the following initiative.
Kids will have a chance to live the Theatre, sharing their experiences withthose tools and languages that are familiar to them.
Indeed, each school will have the opportunity to “occupy” the Giordano Theatre for a week.
7 days during which the classes may:
- Have a guide visit to the Theatre
- Meet the City Mayor, the staff and general manager of the Theatre
- Have access to rehearsals
- Buy discounted tickets to watch performances
- Use the official social networks profiles ofthe Theatre
Indeed, the City of Foggia will provide the selected school’s principal, the Theatre Facebook and Twitter accounts’ access keys. In this way, during the week, students will directly post at least a tweet or a post per day, for telling their stories, by using the official hashtag of the initiative, which is #iogiordano.
Beside this, the City of Foggia will value every further activity proposed by schools to be realized during the week, in addition to the scheduled ones.
Finally, local selected schools will be given the chance to let their artistic companies exhibit on the Theatre stage.
At the end of each week, the City of Foggia will uploadthe official Storify #ioGiordano, on its website.
