The performance entitled “Servo per due” played by PierfrancescoFavinois scheduled on February, 28 and March, 1 during the 2014-15 prose season, organized by Municipality of Foggia, Culture Department, in cooperation with the Apulia Regional Government Public Theatre Agency.
The renowned British playwright Richard Bean,has arranged the Italian version of the comedy based on “one servant for two masters” by Carlo Goldoni, which is a comic comedy with actors falling down the stairs, bumping doors, making double meaning jokes and interacting with the audience.
Last year, during its Italian tour, the comedy has beena great success, both according to the audience and to the criticists, thanks to its irresistible irony and entertaining, and to the high quality of performance, to the recital technique and to the direction and musical solutions’ impact.
Show is realized thanks to the cooperation of “Danny Rose” team. Soundtrack is by “Musica da ripostiglio”Orchestra. On stage with Favino, there also is the actor from BariPaolo Sassanelli, who also directs the show.
Placed in the thirties’ Rimini, the story is about Pippo, a modern Harlequin who got unemployed, downhearted and without any resource to live.
Obsessed by food, he desperately looks for a new job and after several useless attempts, he finally accepts to work for two masters at the same time, gaining double wage and meal with his deception.
He must remind who gave him which kind of order and above all he have to avoid that the two masters meet each other, founding out he is working for another person at the same time.
A perfect and well-groomed show, thanks to the costumer Alessandro Lai, and the light director, Cesare Accetta and coreographor,FabrizioAngelini.
