Biagio Izzo is one of the best beloved actor by Italians and he alwaysguarantees fun and good time at Theatre. He does not disappoint the expectations with “L’amico del cuore”, on stage at the Giordano Theatre for the second prose season, thanks to the Municipality of Foggia – Culture Department, in cooperation with the Apulia
Regional Government Public Theatre Agency.

The performance stands in for “CriminidelCuore” (“Love crimes”), scheduled for March, 3 and cancelled because of one of the actress’ health problem.

This new edition of the performance’s plot, in two acts,written and directed by Vincenzo Salemme in 1991, presents more mischievousness and frustration elements than the original edition.

Indeed, the main topic of the plot, is human cruelty.

Actually, “l’amico del cuore” is a duel between two persons, fighting with weapons represented by hypocrisy and in a battle camp represented by misunderstandings, typical of the comedy of errors, where each character hides his real aptitude and nature. 

Protagonists of the comedy are: an ambiguous priest, who can’t take the decision to be an ordinary man or a God minister; a fourteen years old boy, who looks like a forty years man and is convinced to be a blackbird’s rebirth; the boy’s mother, who falls to an intrusive and aggressive taxi driver’s flattery, despite her being strongly tied to her dead husband’s memory.

Anyway, the most eye catching character of the comedy, is Frida, the Michelino Seta’s (played by BiagioIzzo) gorgeous, Swedish, blond hair wife, who represents the no taboo and sinless Swish’s progress and freedom. She is an innocent character who is pregnant.
